Campbell Crossley & Davis is proud to support The Campaign for Awareness of Mental Health Among Debtors (CAMIAD).
CAMIAD is dedicated to supporting any professional who has direct contact with individuals who could suffer mental anguish or distress related to debt. It looks to increase understanding of the links between debt and mental health which, in extreme cases, can lead to suicide.
The one day mental health awareness workshop has been developed in partnership with Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and is now run in conjuction with Ki Group CIC, ( a social enterprise company established by Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Ultrasis UK).
The workshop provides professionals with the skills to recognise if a client has a real mental health problem brought on by debt issues and how to signpost them on for professional medical health. Courses have been delivered in England, Scotland and Wales with interest from Ireland, France and India.
As co-founder of CAMIAD, Ian Williamson has appeared on BBC Radio Lancashire and BBC Radio Manchester discussing the issues involved.
